Capital University To Present an Evening with Dennis Lehane

COLUMBUS, Ohio—Capital University’s prestigious Gerhold Lecture in the Humanities will extend its slate of acclaimed writers this year with An Evening with Dennis Lehane, award-winning novelist and screenwriter, on Thursday, October 9, in Mees Hall on Capital’s Bexley campus, 1 College and Main.

The event is free and open to the public. No tickets are required. Lehane will speak at 7:30 pm, and a book-signing will follow. Get directions to Capital and view a campus map. Capital students and faculty will be treated to a more intimate conversation and question/answer session from 3 to 4 pm in the Bridge of Learning, located in Learning Center room 206.

Lehane’s visit to Capital University coincides with the release of The Drop, his latest novel set to publish September 2, and the basis of the major motion picture from Fox Searchlight Picture. The film, which will hit theaters September 12, is directed by Michaël Roskam, with screenplay by Lehane, and starring Tom Hardy, Noomi Rapace, and the late James Gandolfini.
